Foliage: Lanceolate to ovate leaves are alternate and gray-green in color. Leaves are deeply pinnatifid (deeply lobed twice), have short fine hairs, and are fragrant when crushed. Flowers: Flowers are about 2″ (5 cm) across with 20-30 yellow ray florets and golden disk florets. Ray florets have 2-3 blunt teeth. The peduncles (flower stalks) are somewhat long and unbranched. Fruit: Fruits are four-sided achenes (one seed attached to the fruit, like a sunflower seed).
