Field inspection for weed free forage status is a free service for Teton County, Wyoming landowners.
Teton County District Wide Quarantine
All forage products entering Teton County, Wyoming must be certified as weed free according to the North American Weed Free Forage Standards. Shipments of non-certified forage products through Teton County are permissible, but the shipment must be 100% covered.
All forage products entering public lands of Teton County, Wyoming must be certified as weed free according to the North American Weed Free Forage Standards.
This includes forage products from within Teton County, Wyoming.
This includes transportation through secondary federal roadways.
Information for Producers
Q: What is inspected?
A: Any field with a harvestable hay, straw, or forage product.
Surrounding ditches, fence rows, easements, roads, and stack yards are also included.
Q: Who should request inspections?
A: Producers who will be transporting, selling, or using their product for use on or traveling through lands requiring North American Weed Free Certified Forage.
Q: Where is the product inspected?
A: Product must be inspected in the field of origin.
Q: When should product be inspected?
A: Forage must be certified within 7 days of harvest.

A: Producers who are interested in adding a measure of quality to their product.
