Join Al Young for a gardening course with suggestions for managing weeds in the garden
and tips for composting. Learn facts about weeds, tips for weed management success, the
biggest weed mistakes and the four major classifications of weeds. She will also offer tips for compost methods, factors that affect the composting process and why composting is
beneficial.
Al Young is a Certified Nursery Professional, Certified Plant Diagnostician, advanced Master
Gardener and recently retired as manager of Trail Creek Nursery in Victor, ID. She is also the owner of Bio-Diverse Gardening and is on the board of directors of the Driggs Farmer’s
Market.
Amy Collett, Marketing and Education Programs Coordinator, from Teton County Weed
and Pest will bring samples of noxious weeds that are commonly believed to be wildflowers to this program.
