K-12 Program

Teton County Weed & Pest and the Jackson Hole Weed Management Association (JHWMA) are working to develop noxious weed curriculum for K-12 grades in Teton County.   

Goals for the JHWMA K-12 Program

  • Raise awareness of the threat of noxious weeds among students in Teton County, Wyoming.

  • Discuss topics such as habitat, riparian areas, seed production, water quality, forest health, etc.

  • Design a "teacher friendly" program that will fit into already existing curriculum.

  • Cooperate with teachers so lessons will meet their individual needs.

  • Promote community involvement and collaboration with schools.

  • Develop a long-lasting, professional relationship with teachers.
